Bought 4 of these with the intent to age 3. Sampling this now as baseline.
Decanted for 4 hours, which was very necessary. Very closed at first.
Nose includes blackberry, plum, bell pepper, earth, tobacco.
On the palate it's more black fruit along with oak, leather, and clove.
Long finish, medium+ tannin, medium acidity, medium body.
Look forward to seeing how this ages and if the earth notes come forward more. They're pretty vague at this stage.
